Ruben Reina in Sacapulas, Guatemala in 1963, making taffy.

Google can do the oddest things…
I was searching for a book that Ruben Reina had written on Guatemalan pottery and ended up in your blog.
Despite the fact that I am Welsh I know nothing of taffy other than that, in the US, it usually has the prefix “saltwater”.
Sacapulas was (is?) a major salt producing centre in the highlands of Guatemala.
I wonder if this is a connection?
