It’s Shark Week and how better to celebrate than with a shark inspired creation! Enjoy our shark salad! For this summer’s best dish please read directions and reference images below 🙂

What you will need:

1: Shark hook, from Oceania, held in Penn Museum’s collection. For more info click here!

2: Weapon with shark teeth, from Oceania, held in Penn Museum’s collection. For more info click here!

3: Double Spout Shark design Jar, from Peru, held in Penn Museum’s collection. For more info click here!

Directions:

Use hook and weapon to capture, slice and carve a selection of your favorite fruits. You’ll be pleased to know that these tools are sturdy and durable enough to cut through even the toughest rinds and fruit skins. Their inclusion of shark teeth are the latest in fruit slicing technology.

After apprehending and cutting your fruits of choice the next step is to serve it up with a splash! A beautiful presentation ties this healthy summer treat together. For special occasions we suggest creating a shark theme. A striking Peruvian pottery piece with shark design is a top trend of 2012. For example, arrange your fruit on a large plate and use the Peruvian pot (shown above) as a center piece.

Et Voila! Your Sham-ful Shark Salad is ready to be chomped.
