We arrived in sunny LA after a quick 6 hour flight from the Philly airport to LAX. We dropped our bags off at the beautiful Hotel Figueroa and then grabbed some lunch. The local area was buzzing with people as a bicycle race was running right through the center of where we are staying. After lunch we took a cab to Santa Monica and hit the beach before settling in at a restaurant at the end of the pier for drinks. After getting our fill we went out for dinner and then had a night cap beside the pool at the hotel. So much for the first day! With our bearings straight and the lay of the land surmised, we went to bed ready to start planning our days at the conference.
