Description | Bull's head cast in one piece with wings and tail of bird. Rivet holes at each apex. the head is trapezoidal viewed from above and twists slightly to the right. Horns extend out from the sides of head and bend forward and up to the front. Eyes are roughly circular with round bulge in center and molding around that. End of muzzle flares slightly; sketchy indication of mouth and nostrils. Rough granular green patina; eaten through in tiny hole at top of neck. Upper R river preserved. Metal sample taken from underside. Spots of blue discoloration inside. |
