Description | Miniature clay jug, one vertical loop handle on pear shaped body Wide mouthed jug with an ovate body, no neck/collar, rounded rim, 1 cord (round cross-section) handle on the body, and a rounded base. No molded/modeled additions. miniature. No decoration. The vessel appears to have been smoothed with a rotative movement on the exterior and smoothed with rotative movement on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2631b." |
