Description | simple flairing rim as on bronze age red polished juglets, band handle, 2 vertical grooves on outside, ring base, 2 horizontal grooves on outside, spiral mark from wheel clear within. soft fine clay, fired partly light red, partly quite whitesh buff, red glaze much worn off and not very lusterous, fires brown in patches, clay and glaze. neck and handle mended, bit of neck and top of handle restored in plaster. |
