Description | Pivot projection on each end. Incised inscpription in Greek, mentioning "Apolinarius", one of the occupants of the tomb. Rowe: "A door from one of the Byzantine tombs provided an interesting feature because it bore in the Greek character the name "Apolinarius" which presumably indicated one of the occupants of the sepulchre. From the same tomb came a basalt lock, a device for fixing the bolt which closed the door on the inside." |
