Description | Embroidered cotton cloth. Embroidered with brown stylized birds and having narrow band of tapastry bordered single faced bobbin weave. This textile is constructed out of three joined webs going in the warp direction (attaching at the weft selvages). Two opposite edges (the warp selvages) have a narrow designed border. This narrow (2-3 cm wide)border treatment is two-sided (supplementary weft). The middle section of the textile has a embroidered design of "stylized birds" (according to the catalogue records). Color(s): Base is an off-white plain weave. Center design is in shades of tan and brown. Edge treatment (supplementary?) is in yellow, medium brown and dark brown). . |
