Description | CBS Register: necklace, double string. 17", 162 beads, lapis, carnelian graded. Mounted by Mrs. C.H. Dam (no.67a) the mainly lapis beads are awkwardly strung in two strings: the large stone bead is the center of one strand [of 71 beads, with alternating lapis/carnelian spacers] but yet the end of the other strand, which is all lapis. Meaning, one side of the central bead has one strand, and the other side has 3 strands. |
