Bodhisattva Head
Description:
Head of bodhisattva or possibly Shiva due to jatamakuta (crown of matted hair). Plain with matted hair lines straight back, small loop and knots of ribbon near top of head which is cut off. There evidently were dish earrings. Mottled red Mathura sandstone.
