Description

Red polished III black-topped bowl. Light red-orange clay, gray at rim. Dark red-orange slip with some lustre; very lustrous black interior, even black top. Round base, hemispherical body, slightly incurving rim; convex vertical lug at rim, pierced. Incised decoration: seven groups of five or six concentric circles alternating with a chessboard motif formed by six hatched lozenges; group of nine horizontal lines encircling base; below rim, a horizontal band of joined hatched lozenges.
