Description | Shape: Squat alabastron with one high strap handle and rounded bottom. Fabric: Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in light red (2.5YR 6/8) to dark reddish brown (5YR 2.5/2) paint. Self-slipped. Decoration: Interior of mouth painted. Rim painted. Frieze of cross-hatched petaloid loops (see FM 63) on shoulder zone with broad band above narrow band below. Bottom of vessel unpainted. Condition: Handle and minor chips missing. Paint eroded, especially on one side. |
