Description | Gouache painting on paper leaf. Decorated with panels of cut paper inlaid with isinglass and ornamented with flowers and figures in Chinese style. The central group of figures represents Apollo seated with two Muses, Juno in the clouds and Marsyas pleading before her. The sticks are of ivory, decorated in the style of Vernis Martin. |
