Description | Attic Geometric skyphos. Mended and complete except for small bit of lip restored in plaster. Warm buff clay. Metallic black glaze. Flat bottom and lwoer edge of wall reserved. Lower wall glazed up to handle zone. Exterior of handles glazed. handle zone reserved. In handle zone, A and B, a framed band of short vertical strokes flanked by a group of long vertical strokes. Exterior of lip reserved, with 3 wheel painted lines. Interior fully glazed except for lip. |
