Description:

Oak splint. Purple and natural colors. Blue synthetic dye (?). Low rectangular shaped. Twill weave forming purple crosses on outside. "For winnowing cracked corn. Also used in basket game with six small wooden dice." Birdtown Band of Qualla Reserve
