Description | Vermeule: Carnelian. Intaglio. (Modern gilt ring setting) Chipped at top left. Fides-Demeter standing to right, a basket of fruit on her raised left hand, ears of corn in her lowered right. Roman Imperial, II or III A.D. work, of extremely cursory nature and showing extensive use of the wheel. |
