Description | Small, double; not communicating. With strap handle between rims. Painted Wide mouthed vessel with a double-chambered globular body, flaring collar, flat rim, 1 bridge handle extending between the necks, and a rounded base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is painted with geometric designs in orange, white, and black. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written in black ink on the interior of neck. Traces of black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1877." |
