Description | Mouth and much of base missing. Sprung. Paint mostly off. Plastic snake down handle. Clay-gray-green with fine dark sand. Paint: dark gray-purple. Paint on neck base. Belly dark with 2 narrow reserved lines under handle. Snake and sides of handle dark. 2 horizontal wavy lines on neck. 5 inverted latticed-triangles on shoulder. For an early occurence in Cyprus of similar plastic snakes on handle, cf. Vonous, pl. XXV:4, etc.; a later parallel: Dikaios, Guide, Pl. x:5. |
