loose in upper soil
UE IV: Figure of a lion, in white limestone, the body alone preserved: the animal was couched with the head resting on the forelegs; a hole in the body seems intended to receive a tenon perhaps of a figure which stood on the back of the lion.
CBS Register: Season V. crouching lion modelled in the round. magnesite (?) front part of the body. hole inside for mounting.
