Description | The mask is of painted wood with alternating reddish-brown, black, and white stripes. The face is flat and oval with round eye holes and a triangular nose. The saucerlike ears are attached high on the head. The lips and mouth are beak-like. A crest extends from the top of the head. The wig is woven where it is attached to the mask, and it is twisted into long dangling ends which hang loose. Old number is L-725-1. |
