Description

Rim-sherd from a cup or bowl with a convex profile. Fine, light brown (7.5 YR 6/4) clay with a paler surface, with decoration in red to black paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior painted. Band on rim; tortoise-shell ripple, below band. Surface eroded. Comments: MM III-LM IB. Ripple Ware. See vol. I, no. 24.
