Description

Shape: Jug with trefoil mouth and one handle with elliptical section. Fabric: Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in reddish brown (5YR 4/3) to black paint. Added white (poorly preserved) paint, and added red (2.5YR 5/6) paint. Self-slipped. Decoration: Band on inside of rim. Outside of mouth, neck, and upper shoulder painted; bands on body; frieze on shoulder consisting of discs and petaloid loops; frieze on lower body consisting of two sets of triple and two of quadruple dots. Added white pair wavy band on shoulder; unknown designs on loops; dots on black dots. Added red paint: bands on shoulder and body; dots in the centers of the discs between the loops. Resting surface unpainted. Condition: Restored from fragments. Some sherds missing. Surface somewhat eroded, especially the added paint.
