Description | Several thicknesses of plain coarse cloth, one of which is heavily pleated in part, possibly down front from each shoulder Several thicknesses of plain weave textiles sewn together to form this textile. According to the catalogue records, it is possibly a garment (woman's dress). Neck aperture apparent as are the shoulders. A patchwork type construction. The "front" seems to be where there is a section of heavily pleated course weave textile. Overcast stitch joins all over. Though most in a plain weave not striped, there are some striped fabrics used. Color(s): Patchwork construction of many different pieces of textiles, all shades of tan and brown. |
