Description

Of the poncho type, or that called in Tahiti tiputa. Made from a single piece of tapa, without coloured decoration. The decoration consists of various designs formed by cutting out groups of triangles, which gives a lace like appearance to the garmet. The edges are fringed. Cf. 18049
