Plate with a flaring body, no neck/collar, inward sloping rim, 1 effigy-zoomorphic handle on the rim, and a flat base. The plate is painted white on the top surface with a band of geometric design running through the center in red and black. The handle is painted brown and is in the shape of a bird head. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior and a burnished finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color.
