A Tale of Two Peoples: Phoenicians and Jews in the Land Beyond the River
Dr. Andrea Berlin, Professor of Archaeology, Boston University, sheds light on six excavations at Tel Kedesh, the largest archaeological mound in Israel's Upper Galilee. During three separate periods of imperial control, the large complex—completed in the later 6th century BCE and used for the next 350 years—provided a stage for interactions between imperial powers, provincial administrators, and local elites.
