Description

Hans Christian Petersen, University of Southern Denmark, will discuss the bog people of Scandinavia who were discovered in the 1950s buried in a peat bog in Denmark. These remarkable specimens were so well preserved that originally it could only be assumed that they were recent murder victims. After much research, it was discovered that the bodies were over two thousand years old and most likely the victims of a sacrifice.
