Penn Museum Scholars Lunch Lecture Series

Archives and Archaeology:  The Orvieto Collection in the University of Pennsylvania Museum

Ann Blair Brownlee, Associate Curator-in-Charge, Mediterranean Section

Many of the Museum's Greek and Etruscan vases are from tombs in the Etruscan city of Orvieto. This paper presents archival discoveries in Philadelphia and in Florence that have led to a re-evaluation of this extensive collection, which came to the Museum in the 1890s.

Guests are welcome to bring their lunch.

The lecture will be held in Classroom 2.

Lecture Admission: Pay-what-you-want.
