Family Second Sunday Workshop
Etruscan Sarcophagus
Families are invited to drop in between 1:00 and 4:00 pm and join a Penn Museum educator every second Sunday of the month, from October through May, to learn new perspectives about ancient and contemporary cultures through hands-on activities. In this program, learn about the ancient Etruscans, who prepared extensively for the afterlife, furnishing elaborate tombs that contained sarcophagi, or coffins, depicting the deceased. Sculpt with Model Magic to depict yourself reclining for an afterlife feast. Free with Museum admission.
