Description

What about Sex(uality)? A Penn Museum Workshop
Share Your Perspectives on Human Sexuality
Tuesday, March 23, 4:30 to 6:00 pm

The Penn Museum presents "What about Sex(uality)? A Penn Museum Workshop" exhibiting items from the museum collection and a contemporary artist. Panelists Ralph Rosen (Prof., Classical Studies), Jacolby Satterwhite (Artist, Fine Arts), and Claudia Valeggia (Prof., Biological Anthropology) will share their responses to implicit or explicit sexuality in the work on view. The workshop, moderated by Penn Anthropology Professor Deborah Thomas takes place on Tuesday, March 23rd during the University of Pennsylvania’s annual LGBTQ pride and awareness week, Qpenn. The workshop is part of the preparation process for a proposed exhibition on human sexuality. We hope audience participation in and reactions to this program will help shape and inform this exhibit-in-the-making.

Please register in advance. Admission is free. Food and refreshments will be served. Cash bar (free non-alcoholic drinks) afterward.
