What Made Humans So Different from the Other Great Apes?

Humans are remarkably similar to the other great apes, but also show remarkable differences. Dr. Carel van Schaik, Director of the Anthropological Institute and Museum at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, argues that our unique features derive largely from the adoption of cooperative hunting and offspring care, approximately two million years ago. Cosponsored by the Philadelphia Zoo. Admission: Pay-what-you-want.
