Maya 101

With the world premiere exhibition MAYA 2012: Lords of Time opening in May, Penn Museum offers a three hour introductory afternoon with Maya experts focusing on the extraordinary Maya culture of Central America and Mexico.  Who were the ancient Maya, what do we know about them, and what happened to them?  How much do we know about ancient Mayan writing, and what did they write about? Find out the answers to these questions and more, and learn how to read and write some basic Mayan glyphs!

Admission: $20; $15 Penn Museum members; free with full-time college ID.
