The Education Department at Penn Museum offers several opportunities for educators:  Teachers' Workshops, Professional Development Days, and Educators' Evenings.  All programs offer Act 48 or NJ Professional Development credits to educators.

There are no professional development activities scheduled at this time. Please check back soon.

  • Teacher Workshops, typically held on Saturdays from 9am - 3pm, are interactive lecture and/or craft workshops designed by Museum staff and co-sponsors.
  • Professional Development Days, typcially held during a school day, are tailored by principals or school districts to fulfill specific curriculum needs.  To schedule a Professional Development Day, contact Jane Nelson, Assistant Director of Education at:  (215) 898-4277 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • Educator Evenings allow teachers the opportunity to network with fellow educators.  Educators browse Penn Museum's current exhibitions and learn how Penn Museum programming can supplement classroom curriculum.
