This historic building, located on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus, features more than 25 galleries displaying artifacts from all around the world. Invite your guests to discover and explore China, Egypt, Africa and even the ancient world all in one night. Journey through time with the Penn Museum and make history with your next event! We welcome all corporate receptions, wedding ceremonies and receptions, non-profit fundraisers and grand galas.
Facility rental rates vary according to the gallery used, number of guests and days scheduled. Please note that rental fees are based on a 4 hour time block with events being held between the hours of 5pm-10pm from Sunday through Thursday and 5pm-12am on Friday and Saturdays. For private social events (such as weddings), membership at the Penn Museum is required. Members will have the opportunity to rent a gallery or galleries for any private function at a discounted rate. With the exception of Mondays, events may only be held between the hours of 5:00pm to 10:00pm on Sunday through Thursday and 5:00pm to 11:00pm Friday and Saturday.
The Museum Catering Company (MCC) is Penn Museum’s exclusive caterer and one of the region’s premier catering firms. Please contact a MCC representative to discuss your food, beverage and equipment rental needs at (215) 898-4089. Additional information may be found online at www.museumcatering.com.
Other services such as A/V, docents, decor, transportation and entertainment must be coordinated through the Rentals Department. References are available upon request.
