In the Café

Tuesday through Sunday

Café guests can expect to find some distinctly Maya treats, including Corn and Green Chile Soup (Spring/Summer), Pumpkin Soup (Fall/Winter), fresh fried tortilla chips or plantains with traditional salsa, salsa verde and guacamole, and Yucatan Hot Chocolate (Fall/Winter). Expect Mexican beers, a monthly-featured, non-alcoholic beverage, and a monthly-featured cocktail for P.M. at Penn Museum Wednesday nights!

Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Fridays through Sundays, the Pepper Mill Café goes into Maya festival mode—with a Maya menu that changes monthly and centers around a different featured theme food, fresh and in season when possible:

Children’s meals are also available Fridays through Sundays.  Meals include a child-friendly version of the adult entrée along with crayons and a Maya-themed coloring page.

Now through January, the Maya Food Festivals continue with featured food items such as Tropical Fruits, Corn, Tomatoes, Avocado, Peppers, Herbs and Spices, Squash, and Beans and Legumes.

Meal prices are affordable, with entrées and special salads at $6 to $7, and drinks and desserts between $2 and $5.
