Audio Tours at the Penn MuseumThe "Highlights of the Galleries" iPod Touch tour, in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language is now available.

iPod ToursThe iPod tour guides visitors through the Museum’s 16 long-term galleries highlighting 29 objects of special interest selected by Museum curators. Complete with an introduction by Williams Director Richard Hodges, the audio tour offers commentary on some of the Museum’s most remarkable objects, from the third largest sphinx outside of Egypt to the iconic, bull-headed lyre from Ur.

A docent takes a group of teachers on a tour of the Mummies exhibit.We provide guided gallery tours for an enhanced museum experience to a wide range of groups, from kindergarten classes to retirement communities. In 2010–2011, our 60 highly trained volunteer docents led over 33,000 people through our galleries.

Docent-led tours are available for educators, community groups, and the general public. Docents provide an opportunity for your group to make cross cultural connections within the galleries.
