This Ain’t Loolapalooza but Penn Museum has a Music Lineup for People Who Love Music

June 27, 2011

PM@Penn Museum: Summer Nights kicked off its 2nd season of great summer music in the garden last Wednesday, June 22, with Turkish-American rock band Barakka.

Over 200 people came out, enjoyed happy hour drinks and food, and relaxed in the Museum’s Trescher Courtyard for the live 2-set show.

There’s no better (and cheaper) place than the easy-breezy, cobble-stoned space of the Penn Museum to beat the heat and enjoy LIVE MUSIC from 5-8 pm on Wednesday nights.

Let the good times roll with a zydeco band that sets feet tapping and hands clapping or dance the night away to the funky jammy beats that epitomize laid-back summer fun. For Indie fans, we have a bit of the punk and the hip and off the radar. For world music lovers– to where would you like to be transported–the Mideast, Spain, Puerto Rico, Africa, or Ireland?
