Sphinx Circle Conversation
Collaborative Curation for Our New Native North American Gallery with Lucy Fowler Williams
Live Online
Tuesday, Jan. 21 2025, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm ET
Sphinx Circle donors are invited to join Lucy Fowler Williams for a virtual conversation exploring the Penn Museum’s collaboration with Consulting Curators to create a new Native North American Gallery.
As we work together to review our Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and Alaskan holdings for the new Native American Gallery, eight Indigenous Consulting Curators are bringing new life to the Penn Museum's collections. Each item is a touch stone that inspires new questions and sometimes sparks exciting new research pathways forward. The process reveals the terrific value museum collections continue to hold for tribal communities today.
