Hands-on History is a series of free workshops for high school students. Meet professionals, gain experience in STEAM-focused workshops, and engage with resources at the Penn Museum. Lunch is provided, and two-way SEPTA ride cards available for transportation.

11th and 12th graders: Spend your Saturday exploring ancient ceramic and metalwork. Get ready to roll up your sleeves in this hands-on program, where you'll dive into the art of mold-making and learn about the materials and techniques used by people from the past.

You’ll work alongside researchers from The Center for the Analysis of Archaeological Materials, uncovering the secrets of ancient technologies and discovering what they reveal about the lives and cultures of our ancestors. Then, put your skills to the test by creating your own artifact!
