In South Asia, cultural performances with dancers wearing masks are very popular. Typically, these brightly colored masks are made from wood. The masks and the dance performances are part of important rituals. Learn more about meaning of masks in the countries of South Asia with Penn teaching artist Krishnapriya, who will lead visitors through the making process using recycled materials.
