Start your holidays off right and Crawl Out with the Penn Museum, Theatre in the X, and Bumpin' Uglies Cabaret. Sip, dance, and listen to a live excerpt of J.R Bethea’s The Beast of Nubia. Meet friends old and new and get down in support of good work! Anyone who arrives within the first hour will get a raffle ticket and a chance to win a prize pack including Penn Museum and Theatre in the X tickets and swag! You'll be able to shake off the work day and get comfortable on the dance floor with a few line dances.

Crawl Out Thursday owes its name to Zora Neale Hurston’s quote “Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place” and tips its hat to rent parties developed during the Harlem Renaissance as a means for Black tenants, often targets of discriminatory rent pricing and low wages, to make ends meet. Inspired by that collaborative tradition, this co-sponsored happy hour supports both the Penn Museum and Theatre in the X. Hosted by Bumpin' Uglies Cabaret, featuring Mz. Frizzle and The Frequency (Christina May and DJ Phil Sumpter).

Admission: $15
