Momma Sandi in Gallery

All cultures use storytelling to help us understand the world around us and to help us identify our place in it. The Trickster Tale is one story motif used to teach life lessons and build strong character. In this interactive storytelling performance, Momma Sandi will demonstrate how the Trickster character traveled from African Folktales into African American Folklore, sharing universal life lessons along the journey.

Momma Sandi is a powerful voice among "story-teachers". A passionate storyteller, Momma Sandi has been captivating and inspiring audiences of all ages for more than two decades using storytelling as her “superpower” for building character, teaching tolerance and celebrating diversity.
