People on Touch Tour

New Program for People who are Blind or Visually Impaired

Visitors with vision loss and their companions are invited to explore the Museum through touch and verbal description. The program will feature touch experiences in eight galleries, including a chance to touch the largest Sphinx in North America. Museum staff will be stationed around the building to guide visitors who are blind or visually impaired through the tactile experiences, give verbal descriptions, and offer wayfinding assistance. The program is drop-in, with visitors welcome to experience the Museum at their own pace.
