DIY Craft Night

Bring along some friends for a craftsy, fun, and musically inspired evening, as you make your own sekere, working with sekere musician Omomola Iyabunmi, founder of the Women’s Sekere Ensemble. The sekere is a traditional West African percussion instrument made from a dried gourd with beads woven into a net that covers the gourd. Visit the Museum’s Africa Gallery and be inspired by the variety of handmade percussion instruments on display.

Admission: $45 per person (includes one drink).
