Kids attending Storytime Expeditions

This alphabet book brings China's history and culture to life, detailing a different example of its unique customs, art works, music, foods, geography, wildlife, and inventions on every page. This story complements the World Wonders: The Franklin Institute Presents Motion and Machines.

Free with General Admission

Storytime Expeditions summer series features storybooks and touchable artifacts specially selected to introduce young readers to cultural themes and traditions represented in our museum galleries. This hands-on learning opportunity not only broadens world cultural knowledge, but also establishes basic museum literacy and critical thinking skills. This program is designed for children between the ages of 4 and 8. No reservations are required, but space is limited due to the nature of our gallery spaces. Groups of 10 or more are encouraged to book ahead. Contact Learning Programs at 215.746.6774. Free with Museum General Admission.

Related program: World Wonders at 11:00 am

After each Storytime Expeditions program, children ages 5-13 and their chaperones or families may participate in World Wonders, globally focused performances of music, dance, theater, science programs, and more. Space is limited. Groups of 10 or more should book ahead by calling (215)746-6774.
