Description | Purple and white striped cotton, warp faced weave. Four panels embroidered to a depth of 30 cm around bottom of legs. Multicolored cotton motifs of birds, branches and flowers between rows of zigzag. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 86 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. 2 ply, purple cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Warp face plain weave. Brocading single faced. Embroidery. Made on a backstrap loom." |
