Description

Woodblock color print showing scene from Sino-Japanese War. Shows hand-to-hand combat with swords and bayonets between Japanese soliders and Chinese. Japanese inscriptions along lower left corner and upper right corner. Woodblock print of battle from Sino-Japanese War of 1894-5. One of three sheets from a triptych. This is the left most sheet. The artist is Utagawa Yoshitora II (歌川國乕).
