Description | Bell shaped object partially flattened to an oval crossection, tapering to a rounded end with a suspension loop and a hole just beneath. The loop is about 3/4 round and somewhere in between 67-39-61 and 67-39-62 in shape. Vari-colored green patina with traces of carbonates (?) on loop and thick rough splotches of reddish corrosion centered around areas where it runs completely through the bronze and is visible on the inside as an irregular growth; may indicate an iron clapper. Vertical cracks visible on the interior in the center of one of the long sides. |
