Description | Intact; one handle broken off and mended. Ring foot, somewhat pointed body, plain rim. Reserved zone above, foot. Dullish black glaze, pink clay. Decoration, front: below rim and in handle zone two zones set off by double incised lines. In the upper incised egg-pattern, a loop of added white in each egg; in the lower chevrons running horizontally. Below the handle zone two zones separated by a purple band; white decoration, mostly worn off in each - upper dots and upright plant ornament, lower, clusters with dots below. On the back a double incision line at handle level, white leaves above and below. No decoration on body. |
