Description

Bimanese headcloth (sambolo mbojo). Sonket headcloths were formerly worn to the Sultan's palace by Donggo men. This is a typical Bimanese headcloth, except for the unusual color (grey on black ground with silver thread: usually black on red with gold thread). Note checked center ground, striped auxilliary ground and solid corner ground.
